Biggest Surprise in that article is that a takeover of Blackburn costs £300m.

Unless that includes the 100m kitty and any debts.

These new wannabee PL club owners are pathetic. Instead of buying the RIGHT club at the RIGHT price and installing the RIGHT manager and letting him get on with it we get them indulging their fantasies and treating the purchase as a plaything with disastrous consequences for the clubs and supporters.

At least thats one accusation that can't be levelled at Ellis Short........thankfully.

This supposed transfer budget of £100m - does that include the players salaries and agents fees do you think or are they seperate?

Ten new players at ten million quid each would be quite a nice thing I suppose.

how hard can Beckham kick a football? If Back Hand Sam gets £100M to spend, he'll be able to scour the world for 8ft giants to hoof the ball into the goal from their penalty area

And once Sam's done that lets see how they'd manage to pay them. Where would a team like Blackburn be able to get the money to cover an extra £400k-£500k/week (£20-£25Million/year plus employers costs to the revenue) for them unless the new owner is going to do what ours does and convert the lose at the end fo the year into equity in the club
