The apathy around Britain´s involvement in yet another war is incredible. After the debacle of the Iraq war and the lies the public were told in order to justify it i would have thought there would have been more concern and questioning.

NATO´s stated aim is "to protect civilians".
    http://tribune.com.pk/story/180098/l...718-civilians/

Britain and France have announced the intended use of attack helicopters (France announced Britain would be !) which fire rockets at 68,000 dollars a shot.
NATO announced today they are extending their remit for another 3 months.

It is becoming obvious that the real aim is to overthrow a sovereign government and replace it with a more compliant one.

He is a bad, bad man.

However I'll wait until this story plays itself out before I comment although I must admit that some sort of covert operations in Libya wouldn't suprise me either. War is war.

How the fuck do you propose we protect civilians from the armed forces of a murdering dictator, with stop signs?

It was obvious months ago... they send the jets in to 'police a no fly zone', and they start bombing tanks and firing cruise missiles. That is not policing a no fly zone. What would have been acceptable is ground attacks on radar installations etc... if it had been limited to this then they would have been doing what they said imo.

Don't be surprised at the cost. The tomahawks and Storm Shadows are about £1Million/shot and the Paveway III are something like £70k per pop.

Do you really still believe that "protecting civilians" bullshit ?

Maybe they are actually looking for weapons of mass destruction.

I agree. When i questioned resolution 1973 on here months ago i took a lot of grief from some posters. The silence from them now is deafening.

just the same as happened in oman, aden, yemen, and loads of other countries in the 70"s, 60"s, and 80"s. the "advisors" are british army on extended "gardening leave", and will be just "foriegn contractors" if owt happens to them. to think that they havnt been there at the start, or more likely, before the start of this ,is naive in the utmost. it happens in every conflict. bosnia, there was pictures of para millitary looking guys, but with british weapons (most others had eastern block weaponary), giving orders to locals. look for long hair and mouchtaches, dead giveaway.
