Default Peter Reid brings up the rear but deserved better at Plymouth Argyle

Good article from barry Glendenning on Reidy's shameful departure from Plymouth.

    Ridsdale
Not the 1st time ridsadale has sacked Ried if my memory serves me right

In defence of ridsdale Plymouth would of gone out of business by now if he had not stepped in

You say that but why does he come into to these stricken clubs? He must specialise in making money from businesses that are on the brink does he?

Whether playing or managing in a sport all about arsehole, Reid has rarely been found wanting. Meanwhile the Ridsdales of the world remain unable to find theirs with both hands.
    Perfectly put.

    Love Reidy me.

    Lovely line.

    But factually incorrect.

Leeds were not stricken when he took over he made the cardinal mistake of being a fan who lived the dream instead of being a hard nosed chairman the outcome was a disaster

As to Cardiff and Plymouth you can only conclude that his intention is to make money out of disaster this time as a hard nosed business man

He's been found wanting loads man.

He was found wanting in his last year at SAFC, he was found wanting at Leeds and he was found wanting at Coventry.

I sympathise about what's happened at Plymouth as it's clearly not been his fault but he's been getting shitter and shitter as a manager for the last nine years.

Or the complete opposite in Leeds' case...

Slightly off topic, but does anyone remember the little cyber-war we had with Plymouth fans under McCarthy. It was a kind of prelude to the Stoke thing we now have.

I recall one of them coming on here after beating us and saying that they were a team on the up, while we were a team on the way down.

Wasn't that just pre-Keane? When Danny Collins was awful?

Or have I got me dates wrong?
