Seem to have crept into the game the past few year and getting worse, sometimes the most routine save is described as a excellent save
Just me that noticed it?

No, I've noticed it as well. I was bored as fuck during the week and watched highlights of Scotland v Denmark and the commentators kept going on about the Scotland keeper- every save, even the most routine, was greeted with "another great save" and at least 2 of the saves were described as "world class". They didnt say so much when he cost his side a goal like.
When hearing commentators going on about a save, I tend to think to myself "what would you have said had the keeper let it in?", if I think it would have been seen as a keeping error had it gone in, then it can hardly be a great save, its merely routine. Very few saves are genuinely top drawer but aye, commentators would like to have you tihnk otherwise
