I remember they seemed to be crying out for a hit at the time,then Bowie helped them out and gave them one.(Not sexually of course,but there again it was Bowie)

Am I the only one who saw them live? (pre All the Young Dudes).
They were OK but, as has been said, limited. I like some of their later singles but how come they didn't sound like that until after they'd had a hit?
