Fecking happy clapping goons on this site nowadays. Bring back realists like Desfartes I say

Read into it what you will.
Nowhere did I say we would/will overtake Liverpool. The inference I was trying to make was that Liverpool are severly hampered by their debt and their right to dine at the top table ( top 4 ) is clearly compromised.
I believe we will break the 10. I believe that we will go above Blackburn, Stoke and Brum, and at least one of those will drop out of the top 10 ( probably Brum ).
It's not happy clapping. Thanks to Short dipping his hand in his pocket, we are one the few financially sound clubs in the premiership.
The recent thread ( quoted from no less a source than the Times ) suggests that Liverpool, unless someone takes over soon ( highly unlikely ) and who has in the region of 750m+ spare cash swilling around ( highly unlikely ) and with the prospect of Torres and gerrard leaving ( most probable ), are in for a very torrid season.
Unlike some ( many ) I believe all the elements are there for Bruce to eclipse the achievements of the suspect simian featured scouse.

Shameful is the position that messrs Keane and Sbragia left us in and that Bruce has clearly moved us away from.
