used to be called 'continentals' in the factories.

10pm 6am nights mon and tuesday you went to 2pm 10pm wed thurs. means finish 6am wed morning and back in 2pm wed afternoon.

after the 2pm 10pm shifts you went on to 6am 2pm fri sat and sunday. meaning finishing 10pm thurs night and back in for 6am fri morning.

you then got from 2pm sunday to 10pm wednesday off. and the 7 day cycle started again.

    barbaric.
