Steve Bruce says Liverpool are better off without “disgusting” Rafa Benitez.

The pair feuded last season when Benitez, now Inter Milan boss, claimed Kenwyne Jones was bound for Anfield on loan.

But Bruce insisted the Spaniard was simply playing games with the Liverpool board. “I thought Benitez’s behaviour towards us last year was absolutely disgusting and it did affect our season,” said Bruce.

“I know for a fact [new boss] Roy Hodgson wouldn’t go down that route just to highlight Liverpool’s problems.

So what have cattermole's sending offs and bramble's alleged rape charge to do with bruce saying he never got on with benitez and he respects hodgson;s managerial skills?
amazes me on this board. the cork quitter makes countless soundbites to the press and it's all ho ho ho, good old roy.
bruce makes a comment ( a complimentary one about the current manager ) and it's regarded as inflammatory.
