Yesterday I got a Christmas card from an old friend and a calendar from my auntie, both posted from NE england on December 18th and judging from the stamps, posted at a post office not a pillbox. A month to get here.

In early January I sent a shirt and my measurements to China to have a shirt made to measure. The new shirt was made from scratch and posted back to me along with the old shirt from China in half the time than it takes for post to get here from England. I hope you posties are working on a back up plan for income beyond nicking money out of birthday cards cos with 'service' like this it's only a matter of time till the whole thing collapses.

Hmmm, It could of been quite easily mis-delivered by the data keyers, All it takes is an accidental mislpacement of a number or letter to send it somewhere else. Not the posties fault and there is such thing as human error.

You have no way of knowing how long it was in the Royal mail system though surely. The hold up may have been once it left the UK.

Sounds to me like you shouldn't be congratulating them then. I'd say that was poor service tbh.

Bit early to be getting Christmas cards. Its only January.

To be fair, it's the US postal service that has to find the correct address.

At least you got yours - I'm still waiting for a birthday card to arrive that was posted before the 13th of December.
