It is our 30th wedding anniversary next year and we are looking at doing one of these trips of a lifetime, she (you really don't want one) is looking at the Kuoni holiday book and she fancies a trip to Borneo and the surrounding areas, anyone been there and was it worth the expense?

I went to Sarawak with the kids, stayed in a Beach resort for a couple of days which was nice and had a very good cultural park next door. Next couple of days in a long house which was really excellent and then did the organgutan bit and spent a night in Kuching before heading back. Really loved the place, really friendly people, great food and fantastic scenery. Daughter has been back and went to another longhouse way out in the Jungle which she loved. It was actually very reasonably priced when we went, although we weren't exactly 5 star resorting it.
