Default People thinking we're a big club

Bent leaves as he was advised by capello to go and play for a proper team to get in the England squad.

While Henderson plays for us there is quiet around the world other than the odd rumour of him being sold. As soon as he's sold to Liverpool the pundits have him down as the best thing since sliced bread and a future England captain.

Scumcastle. Despite going through years of misery and delegation two years ago they are still held in a certain high regard.

I just think these points show how small (other than our following) we've become and how small we are viewed to be by the rest of England. Especially when we are the 6th most successful top flight league side in history (official opta stat based on top flight league titles) you have to wonder about our PR side of the business.

Exactly! Which is why I'm personally happy with our progress to date a not worrying about selling Henderson.

PR side of the business? Aye, I'm sure the PR side is to blame for being shite for 50 years, having 3 top 10 finishes in 50 years, winning nothing for 38 years, being relegated with record low points twice within a few years, being a yo-yo club for years and being in the complete wrong area of the country.

How are we supposed to get our massive PR train running when we haven't won anything or even looked like doing so in best part of 40 years?

These are the facts and our fantastic history (60 years ago) has no bearing on where we are now.

Preston North End used to be massive. I think we'll leave it at that.

    Stop watching Sky Sports News.
    It's not that difficult.

I'm not sure if you are aware but Darren Bent not only got into the England squad but actually played and scored whilst he was a Sunderland player.

It takes more than a few survival seasons to become a properly established club, and sadly it helps a lot to also represent a recognised major city.

This season is important on our quest to keep improving.

Through sheer force of personality and manageial genius Mr Sbragia made us the top club in the north east, something not even Bruce has thrown away. Therefore we are one o the biggest in the country.
