Life without using a bank

Bearing in mind the banks are everybody's least favourite people at the moment, is it possible to lead a normal life without using one? If so how?

I would recon its impossible, unless you can find an employer who would pay you in cash.

even then, what a chew on to pay your bills using cash.

A lot of people will only pay you by BACS, you get charged more if you don't pay certain bills by direct debit, you wouldn't be able to buy anything over the internet etc.

Didn't someone on here claim his wife runs a business and never uses a bank? I'm sure she is a hooker so maybe it's not such a big deal but I struggle to see how you could.

I suppose one of those pre paid debit cards may work, get your wages paid onto it, use link machines and use it on tinternet.
