my cousin who has just been parked out me house for 3 nights has a Hymer. 07 plate I think and he's had it 6 months..
loves it and its getting use.

paid 33k for it though but sleeps 6.

he has 3 kids.

his missus and eldest ae into triathlon and he got pissed ff getting up at silly oclock to get to an event so seemed the obvius idea

pitch up the nigth before.

i must admit i was seriously impressed with it..

a 12 year old 6 berth with a mitsibushi Canter base.

Like somone said get the layout that is right for you. When I bought mine I had to fit a tow bar for the boat and a roof rack for my kayaks.

Also as said if you are freedom camping then either a Gennie or solar panels and a good set of house batteries are a must. as is a self containmnet certificate in NZ although not sure of the UK.

Not sure what you are thinking needs to be done marra? I've rented a few motorhomes in the past. The hook up to lectric and watter takes a few minutes. And needs to be done with a Caravan anyway unless you run it off the battery and tank - which the ones I've rented you can do as well.

Just ot of interest what would happen if you'd had a skinful and were sleeping it off in the back of a motorhome? Could you be done for being drunk in charge of a vehicle?

Well i'd assume if you were parked in a service station or a motorway layby probably yes. In a campsite i'd say no.

Mines got onboard water tanks and double leisure batteries, just pull up and I am sorted.

Hookup, just plug in like a caravan, nowt to bother with.

Caravans you have to faff on with the wastemaster and aquaroll.

we got ours for dog shows, if we arent camping at the venue, we usually drive the night before and overnight in the car park.
