    Default Pamplona Bull Run

Going to Spain this Summer and a friend has noticed that this is on when we are there. He is keen, as is one other friend, and I think I am as well but that is easy for me to say that now but at the time I might have a change of heart! People die on a pretty regular basis doing this, don't they?

Anyone done it or know anyone who has?

No but I volunteered to get in the ring with a baby bull once. BIG MISTAKE. Fuck Pamplona, settle for a bar in Benidorm.

Guy at my work is from Pamplona and we were discussing it last week.

He mentioned going over next year for the full week, though he said he wouldn't let me run. Apparently his mates do all the bull runs except the ones in pamplona. Basically it's so popular that it is dangerously crowded and you can be fast as fuck but you'll probably get taken out by someone else.

If you run it, you have to be a cunt. Sharpen your elbows and swing as you run. The "Divinos" (legends that run every year) have learnt the art of elbowing tourists out of the way.

    I still fancy it mind.

That's what scares me to be honest, the fact that unlike a bungee jump/sky dive where there is the sense of danger but in reality it is pretty safe, this bull run is actually dangerous as fuck with a high possibility of a goring.

You're right though, it is still oddly appealing.

Taking part in the prelude to a ritual slaughter is for excitable wankers, to be honest.
