Turning Lead Into Gold

What price would gold have to be before this was commercially viable?

I'm guessing it would be quite high, and then you would have to be careful not to flood the market or the price would crash.

Its easier turning it into pure green though

as far as i am aware gold can only be made from platinum, which leaves it commercially not the smartest thing you did that day

Was first done with lead in the 1970's. You need to somehow knock 3 protons out of each lead atom. The quantities made in the lab have been minute and it costs a canny bit to do, but with the news of the speed of light this week, who knows what could happen in the future.

Just need to figure out how to shit diamonds

It can be done but only in a nuclear reactor and the result would be so radioactive you couldn't use it.

diamonds can be made , dupont perfected it, fire is actually made of little diamonds

You can make diamonds with an oxy-acetylene welding torch. I know, I've done it.

unless you go to hanrattys then almost any metal can be turned into gold,well brass at any rate

Yeah they covered it on How Do They Do It.

They have to laser etch something into the diamond so it can be distinguished from natural ones - although to the expert eye, it is fairly obvious anyway
