    Are speaking highly about us:

"Sunderland - the most hard-working side...This season at Bloomfield Road."

"Sunderland- hard working, easy passing, take a touch pass to someone in space and move into space and repeat, don't panic on the ball. Blackpool players not near them."

Hopefully we bring in some more quality and move to the next level

    Fantastic win today.

We were immense today like, especially in the first half. Shades of Chelsea away at times.

One of the better teams to come here this season, but have to say I'm amazed how so many benefit scroungers can travel to an away game. They also turned up with a disability benefit scroungers coach.

I naturally agree with them. Our pressing high up the pitch was brilliant, particulaly in the first half. It stopped Adam and Vaughn getting a real grip on the game and allowed us to get at them early on.

As far as Blackpool are concerned they play the game the right way and our two games against them this season have arguably been the most entertaining we have been involved in. I hope they stay up and continue to play they way they do.

Although the majority who've been today don't appear to arrived on this board as yet, just a few thoughts relating to post match comments from others and my own thoughts having watched on-line.

Thought Sunderland thoroughly deserved it today. They were far better than us all over the pitch.

Although we had a few long range efforts in the first half that produced admirable saves from Gordon, we were far inferior overall.

Second hald, we had a lot of the ball, but did not really break through at any time and always looked vulnerable to a breakaway (can except that when we're chasing a game).

Finally, with regards to Richardson's 'assault' on Eardley...his boot was slightly high but it certainly wasn't a malicious challenge. The fact that it drew a lot of blood, and that Eardley was off the pitch two minutes later when Richardson scored, was just plain unfortunate.

PS : Forgot to mention, our penalty was never a pen in a million years.

We'll need to be much better on Tuesday, but, different day, different game. Start again.

Very friendly people, spoke highly of us before the game. Hope they stay up this season, the two games against them this season have been class for good football and class atmosphere.
