    Default summer signings

Put a Samba thread on here and got me thinking about who else I'd want to see sign in the summer (trying to be realistic).

Think we should be going for:

    Samba
    Johnny Evans
    N'Zogbia
    Michael Owen

Also think we really need a box-to-box centre midfielder who scores goals and another top striker, just can't think of any just now!

Why two centre halves? We have priorities elsewhere. I'd still prefer to see Krancjar in a red and white shirt (his croatia connections may just sway it NZog's bad attitude and ordinary performances may risk pissing off the fans and disrupting the dressing room. Owen would cost too much in wages for a second choice striker. Zamora or cole may be good foils for Gyan?

    Samba - yes
Evans - jury is still out sorry
    Zog - yes
Owen - no chance, way too injury prone

Kevin Doyle, Onouha, Welbeck (loan), Viera for a season?, Ramsey (loan), Robbie Keane (obviously), Sturridge (loan), Machechran (sp?) (loan), Holden (dunno how bad his injury is mind), Wright Phillips

Off the top of my head

    Bougherra from Rangers.
A left back is a must- I would settle for Warnock.

Two central deffenders as the ones we have now seem incabable of staying injury free. We have plenty of them but we have still been scrambling about the season to put a back 4 together.

Don't particularly like C Cole and don't think Fulham would sell Zamora. Adam Johnson could be a good one.

Lads, I thought of a striker to sort out our problems. Since big kenwyne Jones decided to go in the summer (To arguably a better footballing side), we've got no big, powerful striker in our team. Someone who torments defences. Sort of get-clause if our game plan isn't working. So, Shola Ameobi. He tortured Sunderlands defence on the 31st of October. He would be a great addition to our squad!

Samba/Bougherra and Charlie Adam. Struggling to think of a striker in England that would be good for us at the moment. Re-loan Welbeck.

We are also desperately in need of some fighters. We've gone from one end of the spectrum, blood and guts cloggers, to the other and have a team of relatively skillful fannies. I'd consider someone like Scott Brown to do our dog work, he's quicker than Cattermole.

If Birmingham went down, I'd definitely throw a bid in for Roger Johnson.
