The Killing (spoilers included)
Finished watching it last night. Absolutely brilliant. I love the way it comes full circle at the end. Vagn seems like a shady bastard at the beginning, but just before he's revealed as the killer, I found myself backing him against Frevert. I love the way it dragged you round in circles, playing with your prejudices and assumptions.
The only thing I wasn't sure about was why Frevert was so terrified of Vagn and didn't just come forward in the first place, when he clearly fancied him as a suspect. Also, some of the music was laid on a bit heavy. A minor point really though.

Re: The Killing (spoilers included)
I take it this is the Danish version that you've watched?
I've only seen the American version, which I absolutely loved until the last couple of episodes... the ending (or lack there of) didn't really work for. Superb up till the like!

Yes, this is the Danish. I hear the American one is essentially the Danish first series but split in two, ie your ending is actually half way through the Danish one! Hopefully the names are meaningless and won't ruin it for you

Really? Well that makes sense now.
The names don't spoil anything, so I'm all good - signing off now

Aye, steer clear just in case!
Where are Medulla and FunkyIguana? Sure they were the ones who said they'd seen it.

Re: The Killing (spoilers included)
In the second episode he had a plaster on his neck. Thought it was him throughout tbh, but still a brilliant series.
The second is brilliant too.

I didn't notice the plaster but from the minute he was on screen it looked like he could be the one just because of the way he looks, but that's something the series did brilliantly, toying with your prejudices. I liked the way it turned out that Weber was actually the twat in Hartmann's team as well, as your sympathy was with him at the beginning after the false accusations. I had a feeling he was going to be in the wrong somewhere down the line though.
I'm going to have to get a hold of the second series, though others have said its not so good.

It wasn't quite as good, but still excellent. If the first is a 9/10 then the second is 8/10 imo.
I don't think the inter-cop relationships are as interesting in season 2 (it really misses Maier), but the support characters are great. I much preferred the political subplot in 2, the new Troels Hartmann character (Thomas Buch) is brilliant, as well as looking like a fat Tim Krul.
