Look At Just How Far We've Come
Bury 2-0 Sunderland
Championship Table - August 2006
Team for the first game back in the Premier League under Keane - August 2007:
Sunderland: Gordon, Whitehead, Nosworthy, McShane, Wallace, Edwards, Etuhu, Yorke (Miller 57), Richardson (Collins 72), Murphy, Stokes (Chopra 72).
Subs Not Used: Ward, Connolly.
Arguable first choice Premier League team now - April 2011:
Gordon; Onouha, Turner, Mensah/Bramble, Bardsley; Sessegnon, Muntari, Cattermole, Henderson, Welbeck; Gyan.
Subs: Mignolet, Ferdinand, Al-Muhammadi, Malbranque, Zenden, Meyler, Campbell.
Come on lads, look at how far we've come in such a short space of time. Cheer up FFS and get behind Bruce and the lads

They'd rip us a new one on our current run.

more or less the same team that couldnt put a shift in today at City? Bury or the older Sunderland would have done better.

How far have we come? If we finish bottom-half again then not very.

Re: Look At Just How Far We've Come
That's all very well, but todays performance was as bad as I've witnessed from any Sunderland team. No passion, no fight, no skill, no organisation, no flare.....nothing.
To say look how far we have come based on today's shambles is bordering on insanity.
Huge game next week now, some players better grow a spine in the next 5 days.

Re: Look At Just How Far We've Come
On current form I'd take Whitehead over Muntari all day. Be careful what you wish for and all that........
