Just sat with my 6 year old lad and educated him what with the bairns being off school. Here are our findings

Play off game
Firstly it has No2 for us as Kelly not Kay
Marco was what Sess is for my lad
The lad that first invades the pitch that ran the length of the pitch from Gallowgate to the Leazes, was he one of us trying to get in our end or a mag wanting bother.
Kay's assault on Askew when the fans poured out was class.

Why does it always rain on me
So mags 1-0 up bring Big Dunc it goes 1-1 then Big Al comes on 2-1 to us
i was telling my son there was a big screen at the SOL where it was more nervous than being at the game, I recall watching the 2nd half on the concourse then more had the above song on.
How this game never got called off
Makins tackle on Shearer for the lead up to our goal
Bally trying to score a 30 yard own goal

All in all, the feeling of winning is unreal bit the deflation of defeat is the worst feeling ever. I'm sure with MON in charge at least we will have a gameplan and fight and endeavour.

haha does he really that's a top effort that like. I don't recall much of the first leg as I was only 12 all I recall is getting a penalty and Hardyman missing but hitting Budgie.

Your right like its a terrible record. Though it feels like our record since then hasn't been that bad bar the 5-1. It seems we had a few draws there I think. Micky Grays goal when there was no away fans. SuperKev in a 1-1 and was it Cisse get the goal in the Chopra game

this for me as well, i hate the derby games.

We've had a lot of draws in that time, particularly at home, but we tend to lose most of our games at scum park whereas they hardly ever lose at the SOL and before that Roker.

Baffling to think we have a better home record against just about every other club in the premier league.

Sort of agree, but it was a famous one that would have made the DVD even of we'd beat them 10 times since? I know there's a few minutes on YouTube, but looking before that you're looking at Gary Rowell as the last famous game for us. In a few years time maybe only the home game will look out of place on the list.
