SAFC falling apart in the last 10 months
Look at this thread entitled 'best eleven' from 10 months ago:

is this real or am I dreaming?
What a team!!!

Quote:
Gordon
Onuoha Turner Bramble Richardson
Cattermole Muntari
Henderson Sessegnon Welbeck
Gyan
Pace in that side is frightening.

Quote:

I like that team. Top six certainty
|
Quote:

Chuck Forlan in up front and yes, it'd be truly frightening then
|
Quote:
With everybody fit...
Gordon
Onuoha, Bramble, Mensah, Bardsley
Henderson, Cattermole, Muntari, Sessegnon
Gyan, Welbeck
Bench - Mignolet, Richardson, Turner, Meyler, Malbranque, Elmohamady, Campbell
Fucking HELL I've got a reet bonk-on.
With a fit squad we've got some very tidy players that won't even get to warm the bench!

which begs the question how many more upgrades are needed for a tilt at the top 4
Spuds and Chelsea arent all that
|
So the future was clear. SAFC were guaranteed a top 6 team that may soon challenge the top 4. Then what happened next?
Quinn and Walton out.
Henderson, Gyan, Welbeck, Onuhoa, Zenden, Malbranque and many more headed for the exit and replaced with championship standard shite.
Crowds plummetting as supporters desert.
Finished with from 10 points from 14 games - supposedly just a blip.
Started with 11 points from the first 12 games this season, another blip?
On and off the field personnel head for the exit, yet Bruce still remains. And with rumours that Sessegnon is unhappy, will he be the next out the door?
The club is hurtling backwards at a truly astonishing rate. If the next 6 months are like the last 10 months, SAFC will be in it's worst position for nearly 2 decades. Astonishing that people think this can be countered simply by chanting 16th, 13th, 10th over and over again.
The club is a shambles from top to bottom.

I agree with everything, except the part about fans and the club being a shambles.
We're still getting very good crowds IMO. The club isn't a shambles, that's too far, but I reckon we've been fed all this, 'magic carpet ride' and it hasn't went the way Quinny and we thought. Depressing really, I just hope things pick up, they have to. Imagine what will happen if we got relegated again, we'd plummet IMO.

All these seasons in the Premier League was a dream not so long back.
You spoiled a good thread with a daft title.

Calm down! Worst position for 20 years? Do you not remember how close we were to administration in 2003, or how terrible the squad was in 2005/6?

Re: SAFC falling apart in the last 10 months
are the crowds really that bad? 37k there yesterday that would have been close to 40 with a decent away following. Cannot expect anymore with the team playing the way they are
How anybody can have a go at the crowds we get is beyond me

38,000 against Fulham is excellent. Especially when we've been shite this season. Also, Fulham brought about 300. How any one can question our fans is beyond me. The shit we have been through in the last 10 years; to still get 38k is brilliant.

And we want it to keep going marra, the major concern is he might take us down. Hes done it with Birmingham before and the way we are playing coupled with the fact we arent grinding out any wins is very very worrying.
As the OP says, we are going backwards, mainly on the pitch which is most concerning.
