Default iPod owners who purchase from iTunes

...are you aware that your home insurance probably doesnt cover loss of these tunes if your laptop or iPod was stolen/broke?

Don't itunes (and Amazon etc) store details of what music you've bought so you can download them again free of charge in such situations? I've not used it but I always assumed that would be the case.

    Why would you need to.

I have them on the lap top, on the IPOD and on an external hard drive which is not in my house.

    Easy.

unless all three are stolen at the same time or break at the same, which is very unlikely.

if you were left with just the ipod wouldnt that mean it would be wiped next time you plugged it into a computer?

Not if you used a programme like Music Rescue.
