So could I order the boxing, have my sons watch it at home and take another box to my mates house to watch it?

Are you sure this will work or would disconnecting the phone line stop it working?

Can I watch the same channels in every room with Sky Multiroom?
Your Sky subscriptions determine which channels you can view - this is not limited by your Sky Multiroom package. You might have a Sky+HD box and subscription for your living room, for example, but a regular Sky Digital subscription for your bedroom. You would be able to watch standard Sky channels in both rooms, and in the living room you would also be able to watch High Definition channels. Sky Box Office movies and events can only be viewed on the set top box they were booked on.

you can order avppv event for free as long as you never plug the box back into the phone line after you order it. No good for you as you have multiroom but a canny trick for someone maybe.

Aye, the installer would have plugged the new box (old card) in to do a call home and then he was charged.

The best "trick" is to do it and then report the card as faulty, a bit of a fuck on for £15 though.
