October competition: Youth is wasted on the Young - Discussion thread

The theme for our October competition was chosen by our August winner: Lucky Knickers

Her theme is: Youth is wasted on the Young

The winner in October will get to choose our December theme as well as having their picture entered in the Picture of the Year competition with a chance to spend a day shooting with pro photographer Mark Denton

The shot must be taken in October to qualify

I said to myself I'd enter Octobers.... not too sure now. This theme seems solid!

yeah a tough one, been thinking since it was posted and really dont know how to meet this theme, might have to drop out on this one, we'll see.

Think I might try to pursuade a couple of chavs to pose and not steal my camera.

Taking the title literally I can't see how you can enter without having a child in the picture. Bit dodgy isn't when it comes to all sorts of things such as model release, parental consent etc etc..???

This is going to be difficult. I guess this is a good example of when not to take the theme to literal.

Not when you're the parent.

That said, I would be reluctant to post pictures of my kids on a public internet site. Too many nonces around.

You don't have to take a photo of a child for the contest. I've got an idea, just need to find somewhere I could actually photograph it
