    Default Royston Drenthe

I maybe pushing the boat out a little bit, but do you think he should be a player we should be looking at?

Lets be fair, he isn't going to get a game at Real Madrid, and when he was loaned out to Hercules last season, he seemed to do ok (Even though they did get relegated).
Tbf, I haven't seen a lot of him, but remember seeing him in the U21 championships a couple of years ago and was easily Holland's best player.

Clearly, the main obstacle would be convincing him to move away from Madrid to the North East of England, but perhaps the lure of regular Premier League football may be enough to sway him. Plus, I doubt Madrid would want that much for him now, could get him for £4-5M, perhaps less.

So what do you think? Potential target for Bruce, or way out of our league?

He'd be as motivated as Patrick Kluivert was when he spent a season at the landfill.

Shocking attitude, so he would never come here. He refused to play for Hercules at one point last season.

I don't know. Last I heard was that he was at Real still. Wouldn't have thought they would release a player they paid £14M though...
