    Default I think that

had we lost the games we have lost in this poor run in a different fashion, spread out over the season for example, there would not be half the rage and over reactions there are currently.

Say, for example, this tough run and our relatively easy run at the end of the season were mingled in together, so we had Arsenal, Wolves, Wigan, Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham or whatever combination you want, and won the easier games and lost these hard ones - there wouldn't be too much complaint.

Look at the bigger picture, we have winnable games coming up in abundance. The only big problem I can see with losing against the teams we have is that it all happened on a dire run and confidence might take a knock. But the season ends in May, and until then I won't declare it a failure or a success. Just relax, accept defeat when it comes and hope when the time comes we have it in us to turn things around!

Don't give up so easily, remember Dunkirk!

If we get beat next weekend and West Brom go above us, there will quite correctly be hell on at the SoL and this Board will crash again.

Hmmm. That's the problem on the pitch. It's not the fact we've lost, it's the manner of the performances.

Well then fingers crossed we win!

It has been a rough day, week, month, (decade?!) for SAFC. Let's not wallow in depression. Even though we're lying in the gutter lets look up at the stars!

Keep the faith. It will happen one day, and hopefully soon.

Didn't we run away at Dunkirk?

Yeah that's the point we got our arses handed to us and we didn't give in, we didn't all come on the SMB and say 'well the fucking tactics were shite there, and private johnson is NEVER a fucking soldier!' We kept the faith, had another go, won!

    Huzzah for ridiculous wartime analogies!

People are too easy to give up nowadays.

Surely it's always the manner of it, rather than the actual defeat though?

It started off being "oh it's a big team" and now it could be anyone it's been that easy.

Fair points - the fixture list has been awful for us.

However in the first half of the season when everything was rosy we got 13 points from these 7 fixtures. Now we have got 1. Abysmal.

Also we have a rot to turn around - if we lose to WBA we have a relegation battle on our hands by the time we play at St Andrews.

Our arses are twitching now - Bruce has to turn it around. WBA is must win. We can accept nothing less.
