Default Ji - is he a forward?

I'm unsure what to make of the lad. There looks like there is some talent there, but I'm really starting to wonder if he is a forward. Clough used to teach that a centre forwards job was to go between the centre and penalty spots. Ji is all over the place.

At one point in the second half, he tracked back to win the ball (fair enough working for the team), around the half way line on the right. There were players in front of him, and after passing he stayed there. To me he should have been busting a gut to get in to the middle.

Bentner looks like a supporting striker, Ji looks more like a supporting striker, Sess is a supporting striker/central midfielder, Richardson is a supporting striker...... Looks like we have a team of supporting strikers and very few strikers to support.

Worked hard when he came on but I agree, much like the rest of our strikers he is best employed off a main forward. There's no way he can form a partnership with Bendtner. Our best bet so far looks to be Bendtner and Wickham. They seemed to be forming a decent partnership.

MON had to give him some pitch time to make his assessment. Now hes had it and I hope he forgets him.

He may become a good striker back home in South Korea, but I doubt he will last long in the Premier League style of football.

I am not claiming to be an expert - just offering an opinion.

I struggle to see what his strengths are.

    Cant hold it up
    Not strong
    Not particulary quick
Hasnt got a venonmous shot on him
    Doesnt dribble past people
Cant say he looks like a poacher

Just a bit nowty to me, another riveros, not suited to english footy
