    Default Alternatives to bread

I've always been told that our bodies find it ridiculously hard to process bread. The problem i have, is i don't always have time to cook something to eat, so i'll make a quick sandwich.

I've made an effort this week to not eat bread and i've found myself living off scrambled egg, tins of tuna and grilled/fried (in no oil) chicken breast, however, what can i eat to avoid carbs when I'm at work and pushed for time?

There's generally a tesco close by when i'm on the road but everything seems to be pasta or sandwiches.

    any suggestions?

I really don't get the fear of carbs, or bread either. It's going to be broken down and used as energy, don't worry about it.

This. I'd worry about the amount of bread rather than the fact it's bread.

I only ever eat brown bread like, and only moderately. Wholemeal pasta anarl, and very rarely. I avoid chatties like I avoid hard work mind.
