Default THFC v SAFC Tactical thread.

another game, another chance for all you tactically ept people to tell us how to win the game before it actually happens.

Containing them down the flanks is the key tonight, they'll try to hit the byline at every opportunity. Pace at fullback and man for man on their creative midfielder, whether it's VDV or Modric. Get Bale defending rather than attacking.

Brick up the Sunderland goal and shoot all the Spurs players.

stopping them coming down the wings is crucial.
also, we MUST keep the ball better than we usually do away from home, hopefully the inclusion of Riveros will help with this.

we've done flooding their room already this season so that would be a logical next level.

There is no reason not to, they cannot keep a clean sheet, I like the look of the midfield, lets do them in the last third big style.

I'm positive about the game, which is worrying.

Im not to concerned about the amount of changes we were lucky saturday and abysmal the week before it needed freshening up.

The only one I was suprised about was Bardsley being dropped. Happy to see Zenden starting although I would of been tempted to give Henderson a rest.

Riveros has his chance to show us he deserves a more regular role in the side, big game for him tonight he no longer has the 'adapting to the pace' excuse.

We need to be solid in the full back positions which I think is why he's put anton in, looks like Bruce is more concerned about containing Spurs wingers than our full backs getting forward. If we do that I think we capable of knicking a goal with Gyan, Zenden and Richardson.
