Default selling programmes from 60's and 70's

Has anyone expeirence of selling old cup final programmes at auctions or to private buyers?

I have had a look on line but there tends to be more sellers.

I had a look at e bay as well.

One or two of the programmes are worth a bit so I don't want to get ripped off.

If anyone knows any reputable buyers I would be interested in getting in touch.

    cheers

    Hi

I too used to deal in programmes.

Cup Final programmes always sell well on eBay - but you have to go to the bother of listing them.

Alternativley there are a few specialist auction houses that do Sports Memorabilia auctions and I'm sure they be happy to help.

    Check ouy the following companies:

    http://methuselahltd.com/ - based in Middlesbrough
    http://www.anthemionauction.com/ - Cardiff
    http://www.mullocksauctions.co.uk/ - somewhere in Cheshire I think
    http://www.vennett-smith.com/index.php - in Nottingham

all of them will give you a valuation (remember you'll normally pay them between 12% - 15% of the total selling price - but this isn't much different from eBay.

I hope you get what you want

How much is a '73 Cup Final Program worth?

My uncle died about 3 years ago and it was amongst hundreds he'd amassed over the years. Mainly NUFC but one or two random others.

Not a great deal sadly. With a ticket stub it'll be worth more though. The 92 one is worth more, with it's poster and keyring.

I have my ticket stub signed by Dave Mackay as he walked up Wembley Way, when asked who would win he genuinely thought we would. No doubt the autograph diminishes the value I also have the train ticket for the specials that ran from Newcastle.

You'd be talking hundreds of pounds for that, if it's in good condition.
