Feck knows but Len Ashurst is often our match delegate. Have no idea what it means though.
EDIT:
"Len Ashurst was the spy in the sky on the day Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer were involved in their brawl on the St James' Park pitch.
It was Ashurst who reported directly to the Premier League on the punch-up on April 2.
He was the Premiership's official match delegate and admits he had never in half a century in football seen two players of the same side fighting one another.
So what was the Ashurst verdict? The whole incident is now firmly part of history, dealt with by those of authority, so Len feels able to relax a little on the subject.
Basically, he agreed with referee Barry Knight sending off both players - he had no alternative - but laid the blame firmly at Bowyer's flaying fists and exonerated Dyer. That was, by coincidence, the exact stance taken by Newcastle, who, however, couldn't get Dyer off when they appealed. Dyer received a three-match ban but Bowyer received four matches after a further FA charge.
A Premiership match delegate is separate to the referee's assessor - both cover all top matches. At United v Chelsea on the last day it was Ashurst and former World Cup referee George Courtney.
"I covered Newcastle and Middlesbrough about six times up to the end of season and I'll get Sunderland next season now they've been promoted.
"I go all over the North - I was part of a historical occasion when Arsenal lost for the first time in 50 league matches at Manchester United.
"A pilot scheme was originally launched for six months and it was well received by the referees. So 16 of us who have either managed or played were taken aboard by the Premier League."
