On the slow mo replay he wasn't even looking at the ball. Malbranque had an open goal he would have obviously missed but that is not the point

He didn't mate. He'd pushed it to the right and Ekotto (I think) was in between him and the goal. I think he might have struggled to get it in. It's just a shame he wasn't in the box.
