Default The three summer concerts at the SOL

What kind of cash do you think SAFC make from these events ?? do we get a percentage of ticket sales ?? does the club get all the revenue created through food and drink sales ??

I remember at a talk in last year the question was asked why we no longer play home friendlys, the answer was given that it is far more financially beneficial for the club to host concerts instead of games and so as long as SAFC were putting these events on we would never play home friendlys again.

I also remember reading in the Journal that at the first Take That concert last year more pints were sold that day than in the entire season before at home games

Anyone have any figures or educated guesses just how profitable they are for SAFC ???

All more money for MON hopefully

I don't think its an awful lot more than maybe a couple of million. I'm sure I saw that figure knocking about last year. Saying that, I doubt this years concerts have sold anywhere near as well as last.

So does the money made at the bar all go to SAFC or do the acts have a percentage in food and drinks sales aswell as the ticket sales ?

Do you mean SAFC the football club or the Owners of the Stadium as the two can be seperate things particularly under these Fair Play rules.

I was told last years that , iirc, they rented the stadium out for £80k a day.
Then of course there are others things to consider.
I am there from Sunday setting up Coldplay, 12 hour shifts but we get well fed at these ones.

and you don't have to fork out £50+ quid for a ticket

I think the £80k a day thing is true... and thats not just the show dyas that includes the set up days also.

I assume they will do a deal on the booze / food sales.. I'm certain everyone will want there share

Coldplay are there from this Friday to the following Saturday. Not the band members of course.
Not sure what the other two are like, rumoured to be sharing the general stage rig.

I imagine special deals will be set up for the gigs. The normal contract will be for day to day c&b and matchday sales.
