Default BBC Football Website - Sunderland

Apologies if this is SEB but found this on our page:

Liverpool's faltering Premier League form continues as they are beaten by a determined and dogged Sunderland side.

Why are we dogged and determined we never get priase for good football, pisses me off

I would say that those adjectives best describe our performance on Saturday, in fairness. It was hardly a bonny game for the neutral but we wanted it more and got it.

Didn't see the game, but were we playing good football at the weekend?

Fuck them. As long as we keep winning and we know.

I'd agree but on Saturday neither side played "good" football. It was a pretty awful game.

Edit: except for the 3 points of course

I'm very happy to quietly go about our business and sneak up the league table.

For once I thought that was a fair assessment - determined is praise and the second half was very dogged in the way we blocked their every move forwards.

If the media want to paint a picture of us being a dirty, scrappy, lucky team that's fine with me because teams will keep underestimating us and we'll keep beating them.

    I don't see why that isn't praise.

Being determined and dogged are surely good attributes.

Either way, Saturdays match was scrappy at best, it wasn't a great game by any stretch of the imagination.
