    Default Apple MacBook Pro.

    Looking at getting one soon.

Is it a good choice? Been looking at the i5 15inch one at 1500 quid.

Also is finance through apple any good? I'd feel a bit more comfortable paying it off a bit at a time then paying bigger sums at different stages.

My poor desktop cant cope with my design demands anymore.

Thought it might. I undestand, the difference of opinion?

but for design it's what I need rather than desktop or normal laptop.

I love all things Apple however I am a sucker for shiny expensive gadgets.

I'm not clued up on the technical side whatsoever, however if you know someone who is still studying you'll be able to save some dosh if you get them to order it for you. They'll need to place the order on their academic network though.

agreed. price is the biggest issue, but for my design, and from experience of using for that alone makes them the best to use. imo anyway

although i am open to other laptops still. i just has to be something that can easily work with lots of apps open and heavy demand from my design work.

this isnt like they say on your comets and pc worlds, "this laptop is great for multi tasking etc etc"

It's excellent. I work with a lot of freelance graphic designers, photographers etc. and they all have one. I had the previous generation MBP and it was superb.

They're pricey, but then you already know that. If you can spring the extra for the 17" then do - it's worth it.

It's a serious consideration. I do a lot of freelance at the minute and my pc just can't cope at the minute.

I will say the price doesn't really reflect the product. It is partly down to the name. However it is still a great product.

Does anyone know people who have used finance with apple before?

You probably pay for the name to a degree, but they are built from superior materials and a superior design.
