Android under threat?
Up to its eyeballs in patent wars.
HTC already facing risk of its products being banned in the US.
This could easily mean less choice and/or more expensive handsets for everyone. And the shit thing is, this stuff isn't generally over core technology (unlike the Apple-Nokia which Apple lost), it's over inconsequential stuff like picking phone numbers out from SMS messages so they can be quickly dialled. How the hell can anyone patent that? My brain has been able to do it for 15 years. Will I have to pay?
I blame Steve Jobs.

I read something a couple of weeks ago where Microsoft are going up to handset manufacturers that use Android and asking for money, something to do with a patent. I think HTC are already paying them and a number of companies are too.
and didn't a consortium of companies (Microsoft and Apple included) buy up a load of phone related patents a few weeks back from a company that went under?

Aye - Nortel I think.
It's a shitstorm. I think Apple's strategy was to go after HTC as they lack the muscle of the likes of Google or Samsung. Win that, then the big fish are likely to cough up without a fight.

I am so confused.
You told us that it was Apple who copied everyone.
I am so, so confused.
Are you also telling me that us iDiots were correct in thinking that these two items are similar?

Must be your eye sight, I can't see any similarities between those two phones

Your confusion is self imposed.
