Paprika? Went once years and years ago. Wasn't overly impressed. Sure I've had better meals in Sunderland.

It is, but you can't just help yourself scratter style. You tell the bloke serving what you want and he puts it on the plate for you. Top, top quality food.

I've only been to Paprika on an evening and it is a little pricier than the usual Sunderland restaurants, but worth it. It is quite small so while it is quiet and there isn't a bustling atmosphere, the food is great and the people who have it seem very pleasant.

Took a lass down to Sunderland from Berwick a few weeks ago and we were going to eat here after reading the TA reviews, It says on the website open till 2 , and it was already shut just after 1. Went to the Jameson instead and had some pasta which was decent enough , I was on the Double Maxim by then anyway so i was happy!

He talks you through each dish as well if you're not sure what it's like.
