Default I think the Bruce in/out debate comes down to two things......

His part in the injuries and his part in not replacing Bent.

And the reason I say this is because in my opinion the evidence suggests that until both happened his work in transfer market and tactics were then good enough for top 10 easily. We had 3rd best defense and were playing very well despite bent not showing any interest at all

It's only since the injuries really kicked in and Bent left that its fallen to pieces.

So if he didn't want a striker and he's rushed the injuries back then I agree its his fault but otherwise he's actually done ok.

I'm no happy clapper, didn't want him here and don't rate him especially but if you are to sack him you need to be clear on why and I think a few are caught up in the emotion at present

    For you, perhaps.

Motivation and tactical nous are my biggest issues with him. He falls to pieces under pressure.

    The warning signs are there.

Are you suggesting that someone other than Steve Bruce is managing the club and that our leader is a puppet? Is Bruce the organ grinder or the organ grinder's monkey? Serious question! I take him to be the organ grinder.

I think you've just proven being intelligent doesn't make you clever.

I think it only comes down to the fact that he's about 2 months into a 3 pissing year contract. If he was out of contract at the end of the season then there's no way it should be renewed, but it'd probably cost us the thick end of £6m to get rid of him. His tactics are a joke, and half the time the midfield don't seem to know what position they're meant to be playing. The chopping and changing during games recently has been ridiculous.

I think he's a fucking cretin, and would get rid, but I have to admit I'm biased as I can't stand the man and never have been able to. Others might take a different view.

    This.

I'm not all that concerned about B£nt and while him rushing players back from injury is annoying it's not the top of my list as regards frustrations with Bruce.

    But why all the injuries!!??

I keep saying, but the type and frequency of injuries now says to me that its more han just bad luck.
And if thats the case why is it happening and how has it been allowed to.

Then if you take your point of the sale of Bent and no replacements etc......well its one big recipe for disaster!!

I don't believe that Bent was sold from under Bruce or that another person in the club took the decision not replace him. I think Bruce is the manager of safc per se and as such I believe he should be judged in the totality of his responsibilities. Tell me: am I wrong to assume this? Clearly, the OP is uncertain. Perhaps I've got it wrong?
