    Default Charities

Daughter has brought a letter home from school saying that they are doing a shoe box appeal to send to kids in Russia. One of my principles is that i never donate to overseas charities as there are plenty of UK based that need help.

Why is it schools choose to send to these instead of trying to help kids in UK.

She is not happy at my refusal to pay for anythng to put in the shoebox. Just so you dont think im a tight twat I have given her the equvilent of what it would cost to put in the children in need collection this Friday.
