    Default guarentee advice

    I paid about a grand for a top of the range sony tv less than 2 years ago. it now has lines down the screen (best way to describe). i took out extended warranty but the company has since gone bankrupt (empire direct) should i contact sony to ask for any help - would i be within consumer rights to expect it?

    as long as you've got a copy of the guarantee ( and if possible the original receipt ) you're fine . Just contact Sony and they should put in touch with a local approved engineer .

    Empire Direct is part of Richer sounhds now is it not. I know theres an Empire direct supersote not fafr from me
