Default Teachers behaviour to their pupils

Looks like teachers will be striking in November in protest at public sector pension reform

Fine example they are setting their students.......

Surely a worse example would be to roll over and let the Tories shaft them? Or is standing up for yourself a bad example to kids these days?

Why don't they strike in one of those days when the kids are off school but they are still working really hard?

Then they can make their point without affecting their pupils' education.

It always has been a bad example for the working man to stand up for himself in the eye's of the Tories.

My 6 year olds new teacher just seems to scream and shout and stamp her feet. (Not at him individually just at everything and everyone) Turns out she was 3rd set at maths at school too....not a great example. Might actually take him elsewhere. Not sure she deserves a wage nevermind a pension!

but surely the point is that if the reforms drive too many teachers/dinner ladies/caretakers etc out of the profession the kids wont have an education. This can only be demonstrated by disruption to the education in the first place, to show what it will be like when the reforms have driven out the teachers and to show all you folks that think the education system is just there to provide free childcare while you and your partners work what it will be like when that benefit is taken away and you have to pay for your childcare, or decide which one of you will work and earn and which one stays at home and watches the kids.Or is that what concerns you? when the free childcare has gone and your lass tells you that she will be the working one, your balls wont be as big as you have thought?

Drive them out of the profession my arse.

I know loads of teachers, they get a very decent wage and fantastic working hours.

Most of them aren't even that bright and were mediocre academically themselves.

You actually think asking them to pay an extra 3% towards their pension is going to lead to the collapse of the schools system??
