Ban on taxis flying England flags.

Taxi drivers could be fined for flying the flag of St George.
Patriotic taxi drivers in Thanet are being banned from flying the England flag on their vehicles.

Philip Benstead, from Thanet Council, said: "If we receive complaints and we see offences being committed we have to deal with individuals."

Wouldn't you think they would look the other way, just for a few weeks?

"We have just asked that the materials are not attached to the outside of vehicles. This is normal practice and is the advice that would be given whatever the occasion celebrated."

I don't think many drivers will want a flag inside the cab. Canterbury council banned them a couple of weeks ago, you'd think that something so petty could be overlooked for a few weeks.
