Default Formation next season + N'Zog

Anyone else think we weren't really ever that interested in him this year? Obviously it would be nice to have him in, but i don't think Bruce wanted him, clearly he has in past windows but that was before we had Sess and now all the new lads.

I just think he is going to play a formation, that doesn't require an out and out winger like Zog such as a midfield 3 of Cattermole, Gardner and Vaughan/Colback, then a front 3 of Gyan, Sess and Wickham/Ji.

Either way, i'm fucking glad it's over and i can't wait to see how our team lines up against the bin dipping .s!!

    Hawayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyy

well since he came out and said we don't want N'Zog a while ago I think he probably didn't want him.

Probably would have been for the right price.

Bruce clearly admires him and if the right deal for us could have been struck (wages and price tag) we would have been in for him. Villa are going to pay over the odds for him, just as they did with Bent, but since they've lost two of their best players they have no choice really.

If he goes for £10m I'd hardly call that over the odds. He's probably one of the best wingers/attacking forwards in the league. I'd loved to have seen him in a red and white shirt but that's never going to happen now.

We will NOT be signing anyone else this transfer window.

    Few days later.

Sunderland sign Asamoah Gyan for £13m.

    Next.

It's not so much the £10m as the £65k a week (or whatever he's after) that would be paying over the odds imo. No way should he be on more money than Gyan or Sess, he's a quality player but his attitude stinks, would cause major ructions if he came here and was the best paid player at the club.

Last year of his contract. £10m is VERY expensive for a player in that situation at a small club like Wigan.

3 reasons Bruce didn't bid for him

    1/Wages
    2/Wages
    3/Wages
