Hearing back from a job.

I had an interview on monday and i think it went well, however i have not heard anything back yet... is it me just being paranoid as its only been 3 days or what.

How long is an average wait?

Depends on the job to be honest. I've had jobs where I've had to wait weeks to hear whereas one employer rang me up before I'd even got home from the interview!

Wouldn't worry too much to be fair mate. Some interviews can take up a week, including weekends could be 10+ days.

depends on the job was what i was getting at... i guess that wasn't really very clear in my first post.

Can take a week or two, depends on a few things like asking previous employers for references, checking your background out etc etc. All depends on the job role and any necessary checks, also, they could well be interviewing over a number of days if loads of applicants.

I have heard in the interview that I've got it, on the way home, the next day and 3 months later.

My missus just recently had to wait two months for an official offer letter about a job. She knew it was hers but the other two candidates had to wait 2 months to find out they were unsuccessful.
