Default damaged lense in the eye

i was quite badly beaten by a group of lads on saturday night as i tried to leave a party and numerous kicks to the face have left my eye quite badly damaged

i've lost virtually all sight and the eye is filled with blood meaning the pressure inside is very high, there is damage to the optic nerve but they cant see how much due to the blood. they aren't sure if the retina is detached at all yet but they do know the lense inside the eye has collapsed.

does anybody know how repair of the lense will be done? will it regain shape as the pressure gets less or will it need to be replaced with an op? or is the lense the least of my worries?

its hard getting any sort of info from the docs to put my mind at ease or prepare me for what i'm about to face

Good luck marra. Presume police are involved. If not they should be.

They can implant a new lens in the eye if needed. But you need to hope the nerve and the retina are ok - they are the more crucial parts

Sorry to hear that mate, sounds nasty.

To be honest, i think i'd be spending my time pushing the doc's for answers as opposed to taking advice from a message board.

Best of luck with it and i hope you have a speedy recovering.

I think he means 'did fuck all' to deserve the kicking, not 'did fuck all' in a fighting back way!
