    Not worried at all.

I was slightly concerned the other week but my betters have told me that SAFC is in extremely safe hands and any concerns that I may have are those of a hysterical victorian girl.

    So there ya go.

I was worried after reading the first thread, didn't feel to bad after the second and was quite happy by the third

If the article was acurate it'd be different.

Well, not if you don't count the money they owe Short, who is demandin gno interest and has not imposed a repayment date.
That's because he's converted the loans to equity.

It is a pretty sloppy and poorly researched article to be honest. It claims that in the past 2 years Ellis Short has capitalised £19m in loans, but the figure is more like £67m, as last year he capitalised £48m in loans in July 2009.

Something that people seem to miss is that if we didn't have Short to finance our spending, we wouldn't be spending any where near as much. It's not as if Quinn would be gambling on our future without pretty big assurances from Short that he will continue to back us.

We're much better off than the majority of clubs, and being in debt to the owner is no different to most other teams.

Keane hardly spent buttons before Short joined

We're not though. He's put money in but it's been converted to equity rather than loans. His money is tied up in the club and the only way to get it out is to sell.

Is the 80 odd percent we pay on wages much different to most other clubs? I know a few have less, and a few have LOTS more, but isn't this about average for the PL?

Ellis & Walton would work out long before we sign a new player how much it would affect income, so I'm sure it's a manageable amount.
