When was the last time you backed up your iphone via iTunes?

    This.

I found out just this week that reinstalling the iphone will put all the photo's and messages up to the point it was last synced.

You'll have to restore your phone from the backup mate, it'll restore your phone to the state it was in when you last backed up.

Not as far as I know. Pretty sure if you lose your back up on your computer then thats it, gone. But if it was on the apple site you would be able to retrieve it, so dont think so.
