I like the look of the second one, but would prefer Larsson ahead of Colback.

Changed slightly, that's what I'd play.

    Has to be a 4-3-3:

    Gordon

    Bardsley - Brown - O'Shea - Richardson

    Gardner - Vaughan - Colback

    Sessegnon - Bendtner - Gyan

I'd go 4-4-2 and start with Vaughan for a few weeks to see if he offers more than Cattermole.

    Westwood (Gordon when fit)
    O'Shea Brown Bramble Bardsley
    Larsson Vaughan Colback Sess
    Gyan Bendtner

    Subs
    Cattermole
    Ji
    Wickham
    Elmo
    Gardner
    Richardson
    Westwood or Mingolet

Doesn't look a bad squad when you see it like that

would bruce ever drop cattermole if he was available ?

i'm not saying he should but there is a real synergy between bruce and cattermole's thinking about the game.

catts is his eyes and ears on the pitch.

I'd have said that they're either shafting each other, or are related.

Or even both, considering where Clattermole was born.

No he probably wouldn't drop him, which may well be to the detriment of the team. Peter Reid was often too loyal to players, leaving them in the team despite poor form.
With or without Catts though, for the moment I'd just be happy to see two up front.
