    i come from birtley which i suppose is tyneside, just.
    mainly mags here but still quite a few follow the lads.

    Marsden-7 miles from Roker Park but 11 miles from St James Park.
    As a kid it was much easier getting to Sunderland than Newcastle. We had the Economic buses (now the E1, E2 & E6) but only the one Northern bus to Newcastle which took forever.

    There certainly is. Often see someone wearing a Sunlun shirt/jacket down what used to be Netto and the Fell Bank area.

    born and bred in the felling, cheers for the hats off. im proud to be a geordie and where i come from, wouldnt have it any other way. surrounded by mags all my life, mates, some family. i wouldve been on the other side but for my grandad (dads dad) going against the grain, and im bloody glad he did. ftm

    Dad from Seaham but born over here...chased round school....all my mates are mags...and get stick all year round.

    Now 36 and wouldnt swap it for the world the dirty black and white fuckers!!

    What made you go with your grandad rather than anyone else? Amazingly I don't think i have any Newcastle fans in our family.
