A bit hit and miss. Should have kept a few a little longer IMO (Whittingham, A. Hughes, Ridgewell, Cahill, maybe even Phillips) as he spent and wasted a fair amount of cash replacing these squad players (possible first team in Cahill) with equal or worse standard players. Payed over the odds on a couple (Reo-Coker stands out, £8.5m!) but there are some good deals in there (Carew swap for Baros, Young, Milner, Friedel, Cuellar, Petrov). Overall not too bad I reckon, you can't win with every transfer.

Shaun Maloney was sold back to Celtic for a profit, not for 1 million.

James Collins from West Ham and Dunne from Man City for around £6m each I think and both had a good season

    Big Errors:

    1. Selling Cahill and replacing him with Zat Knight was a terrible decision.
    2. Heskey has been awful for them
    3. Curtis Davies for £8m, Reo Cocker for £8m and Sidwell for £6m were very overpriced

    Big Successes

    1. Milner
    2. Young
    3. Friedel
    4. Dunne
    5. Collins (Who I previously thought was shite at West Ham)
